BOSS_IBI / PRACTICAL PACKING GUIDES
3-Day European City Break Packing List

A short city break works best when your bag is easy to carry between stations, accommodation and sightseeing. Start with what you will actually use, then leave space rather than filling every corner.

Start with the journey
Keep your passport or accepted travel document, tickets, accommodation details and payment cards together. Save an offline copy of bookings and a route to your accommodation. Check entry requirements for your nationality and destination before travel.
A small, repeatable wardrobe
Pack three changes of underwear and socks, two or three tops, one spare bottom and one extra layer per person. Wear your bulkiest comfortable shoes on the journey. Add a lightweight rain layer if the forecast calls for it. For warm destinations, swap heavy layers for breathable clothing; for colder trips, prioritise warmth.
Toiletries without the bulk
Bring a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant and only the skincare you regularly use. Decant where practical, label containers and pack liquids so they are easy to remove if requested. Check the current rules for every departure and transfer airport rather than assuming the same allowance everywhere.
Tech and walking-day essentials
Bring your phone, charging cable and a suitable plug adaptor if needed. Carry a refillable bottle, a small day bag and any prescribed medication you need, with supporting documents where required. Optional packing cubes can help organise a bag you already own.
Before you close the bag
Check the bag’s filled dimensions and weight against your booked airline allowance, including handles and pockets. A product described as a cabin bag is not automatically accepted on every fare. Keep spare space for the return journey.
